Once upon a time there was a young girl who loved art but was scared of computers. Every day, she drew, painted, wrote, and learned. She tinkered and dreamed, told stories and lived some. One day, encouraged by her parents, she took a computer art class. Because of that, her world opened wide, she found a way to make art and a decent living. Because of that, she learned all she could about making things with a computer. She made videos, games, animations, paintings, posters, cards, and websites (lots and lots of websites). She taught others how to make art and communicate online using a computer. Until finally she realized that everything she made was just pixels — impermanent, flighty, unstable dots of light. So she decided to make things in real life. This is her work.

Fine Art & Prints

Wouldn’t it be funny if…” is how most of my projects start. If you have a vivid dream about a pancake doing something that pancakes don’t do – you will think differently about your breakfast. When your perception shifts, it might make you chuckle, or perhaps, reconsider your opinion.

I’m currently working on a series of lino block prints of Animals with Occupations and large format Hand Gestures using stencils and spray paint. In April I’ll be creating an art installation called Ring Through for the First Fest.

Print-a-Thons

When the weather is nice I bring my very old and very heavy book press into the field and print shirts on demand for customers. I also set up my booth with preprinted garments, bags, and table linens. Bring your own garment for a print for just $10. Ill even let you spin the press wheel! Check out the calendar for upcoming shows or sign up for my newsletter for event announcements.

Commission a Block

Custom shirts make a thoughtful, personal and unique gift for friends and family members, groups, teams, clubs, reunions, or for your business. I have 15 years of graphic design experience if you need a logo or graphic designed. You even get to keep the block for display or I can show you how to print on your own.

How Does it Work?

Client provides 3 to 5 photograph options or a logo to be transformed into a black and white graphic. I’ll return a draft image for your approval. Once approved, I’ll carve it into a block and create a test print for your approval. The minimum printing commitment for a custom block is 6 printed pieces. You keep the block.

Prices start at $200. Get in touch! I can’t wait to hear about your project.

Graphic & Web Design

I have been creating custom designs and marketing materials for the fine people of Sacramento since 2004. I make logos, post cards, brochures, large format graphics, websites, email marketing, social marketing graphics. I’ve worked with some perfectly wonderful businesses like The Shack, Pangaea Bier Cafe, Sierra 2 Center, Linked Learning Alliance, Sacramento Public Library, and Sacramento Steps Forward.
